Prison Ship

Heh, I made it to chapter nine of my book! I’m so excited. You just never know how it all will work out. I’ve read other books… well attempted to read other books and I just never got far. Sooo I’m reading this book still.

There was a sweet fight in it in the last chapter. The bar went kaboom. It was good.

Personally I wouldn’t mind being on a space ship. That would be really cool.

QSquared

This was the book that I read in two days. I honestly couldn’t put it down.

Bought it at the DI for $4.00. Back in 1995 I think it probably went for around 22.50 or something. So yes def saved moneys by waiting to purchase the book. Haha

Jist of the book: Trelane is bothering the heck out of Q. He’s an infant in the Q world… or a teenager basically. So what do teenagers do? They bother the people in charge of them.

So, Q comes to Picard for assistance with his little problem.

It’s a very good story. I’d highly recommend it to any Trek fan out there. Of course it helps that it was written by one of my favorite authors, Peter David.

I wouldn’t say it was a complex story… but parts of it were rather complex. The author juggled the three universes he was working with quite well. Since I’m a major fan of any kind of alternate universe story, this one fell right in line with how my mind works.

So yes, two thumbs way up on this book. Get it. Read it. Love it.

Prison Ship

Started reading a book called “Prison Ship” by Michael Bowers. So far so good.

About a guy who was on a mission where his people were killed. So what did he do? He went after the scum that gave the orders to go on the mission. Well he ended up in prison. After an attempt on his life, he goes to be the captain of a prison ship to earn points to get out of prison.

So far a good read. I’m on chapter 5.

Well see how long I last in it. It’s Sci-Fi for sure. But… never read anything by this author before. It’s exciting.

Wow and Books

Completely forgot about this sucker… Heh, guess I will pick this back up and continue writing in it.

Just living life the usual way. Completed a book in two days. Yes that’s right, two whole days. It was 435 pages. Star Trek of course…. hey whatever will get me to read right? Right!
So yes, I read that book. QSquared. They have a bunch of hard cover books at the D.I. So I figured why not pick one up. So yes, that’s exactly what I did.

Books

Went and got “The Illustrated Man” and “Dandelion Wine” by Ray Bradbury.

So far so good. Currently reading “The Illustrated Man”. I’m enjoying it so far. Should be able to get through a good portion of it this weekend. He’s becoming one of my favorite authors.

Books On The Shelf

So, I just took a quick look at the books on my bookshelf. Especially the ones I’ve not read yet. Surprise surprise, there are a number of them.

1. The Book Thief
2. World Without End
3. Fire Star
4. The Book Of Time

Just to name a few… so fun so fun. I suppose it’s time I got to reading them… before it’s too late and I’m too old to even hold a book let alone read the words on the page. lol

Star Trek Deep Space Nine: The Soul Key

Stayed up till 4 am this morning finishing the book “The Soul Key”. Talk about wow! I enjoyed Fearful Symmetry so much, that I had to get the book that finished it.

I don’t believe I got bored with this book at all… it was just so… wow! I won’t say anything about the plot or anything, just get the two books… read them, and have fun. That’s really all there is to it.

Enjoyed it a lot, would highly recommend it to fans of Deep Space Nine!
