with the drop of a ball
and some flare as you do
January 1st is my lazy day I’ve decided
still sitting in bed having fun
doing whatever I please
I hope 2012 will be something exciting
not like 2011 which was quite boring

and playing under mah hood
Tonight is New Years Eve
it’s a magical night
a start of something new
Resolutions abound
most won’t make it
others won’t care

the alcohol is ready
ready to be poured
I am ready
to be drunken
as the New Years rolls in
So happy New Year
we leave the old behind
looking forward and onward
to something exciting and new
That bright new day is around the bend
when parties happen and people mend
New Years is the day I speak of
oh how fun and joyful
Resolutions round about
as people contemplate their doubt
thinking of the past for sure
wondering if this year will be pure
Something different will come their way
at least they hope with some ray
making wishes and making mends
